Bailey Falter Starting Game 4 On Saturday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Bailey Falter will get the starting nod in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series on Saturday against the San Diego Padres. The Phillies will be hoping that Falter can get through the Padres order once, according to manager Rob Thomson. This is going to be a bullpen game from the Phillies and probably the Padres as well. Noah Syndergaard pitched in Game 4 of the NL Division Series, but he might end up being the bulk pitcher in this one after Falter is done. The 25-year-old Falter will be making his first career playoff appearance after posting a 3.86 ERA (4.65 FIP), a 1.21 WHIP and a 74:17 K:BB in 84 innings over 20 outings (16 starts) for the Phillies in the regular season. He did not face the Padres at all this year.
