Wil Myers Takes A Seat For Game 2
2 years agoAfter getting the team's only hit in the Game 1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Championship Series on Tuesday, first baseman Wil Myers is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 on Wednesday. It's only the second time in the 2022 postseason that Myers hasn't been in the starting lineup for the Friars. In his place, Brandon Drury will man the cold corner and bat fifth against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola. Drury has only played in four playoff games for San Diego this year, going 1-for-15 with six strikeouts in 15 plate appearances. He hit .248 (92-for-371) with 16 of his 28 home runs, 61 RBI and 56 runs scored in 127 regular season games against right-handers in 2022 between the Reds and Padres.
