James Conner Injury Update
Conner (ribs) missed a second consecutive practice on Tuesday. Although he has one more day to register a limited session, his availability for Thursday night is certainly in doubt. We could be looking at another week of Eno Benjamin (foot) leading Arizona's backfield.
Eno Benjamin Injury Update
Speak of the devil. Amidst a short week, Benjamin (foot) is dealing with an injury on his own. However, unlike Conner, Benjamin has been limited in practice over the last couple of days. The 23-year-old could end up being labeled as "questionable," but as long as his health doesn't worsen on Wednesday, it looks like he is in line to handle lead-back duties against the Saints on Thursday. In such a scenario, Benjamin would rank as a fringe RB2 in fantasy football.
J.K. Dobbins Injury Update
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh admitted that Dobbins' knee tightened up during Sunday's game, limiting him to seven carries while allowing Kenyan Drake to amass 11 touches and 127 scrimmage yards. Even if Dobbins is healthy against the Browns in Week 7, he is a fringe RB3 in fantasy football. Meanwhile, Drake has navigated his way into the FLEX conversation in deeper leagues.
Mark Ingram II Injury Update
Ingram (knee) was limited during a second consecutive practice on Tuesday. Although he didn't log a full session, the fact that Ingram was able to practice in some capacity bodes well for his availability against the Cardinals on Thursday night. The Saints will offer more information on his status with their official injury designations on Wednesday, but for the time being, it seems like Ingram will play in Week 7. From a fantasy football perspective, the veteran ranks as a mid-to-low RB4 in an offense that could commit to a run-heavy approach.
Melvin Gordon Injury Update
Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hacket told the media that, to the best of his knowledge, Gordon, who rushed just three times on a measly 16 percent snap share in Week 6, was not dealing with an injury. Quite simply, Latavius Murray handled a large volume out of the backfield while a frustrated Gordon and Mike Boone were relegated to depth roles. Unless Hackett adamantly commits to a clearly-defined depth chart going forward, the instability of Denver's backfield puts all three of its backs into the RB3 tier or lower.
Darrel Williams Injury Update
The Cardinals are dealing with a third running back injury in the form of Williams (knee). Just like Conner, Williams has now missed two consecutive practices and runs the risk of sitting out Thursday's game against the Saints. Assuming both Conner and Williams are indeed ruled out, Benjamin would remain the lead back while Keaontay Ingram and Corey Clement operate behind him.
Joshua Kelley Injury Update
Kelley (knee) suffered an MCL sprain on Monday night and is expected to be sidelined for a matter of weeks, per head coach Brandon Staley. The 24-year-old saw just two percent of snaps and zero touches before exiting in Week 6. Sony Michel will back up Austin Ekeler next Sunday while rookie Isaiah Spiller gets his first taste of the gameday roster.
