Jameson Taillon Expected To Start Potential ALCS Game 1
2 years agoAccording to a tweet from The Athletic's Lindsey Adler on Tuesday, New York Yankees right-hander Jameson Taillon is expected to start Game 1 of the ALCS if the Yankees advance past the Cleveland Guardians in Game 5 of the AL Division Series on Tuesday, manager Aaron Boone said. He's also available Tuesday if needed, but he is pretty far down on the usage depth chart for this reason. The 30-year-old right-handed starter pitched to a 3.91 ERA and a 3.94 FIP in 177 1/3 innings during the regular season, logging 151 strikeouts compared to 32 walks. He allowed three hits and two earned runs without recording an out in his only postseason appearances so far this season.
