Tyler Allgeier Struggles Against 49ers
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier had 15 rushing attempts for 51 yards in the 28-14 Week 6 win over the San Francisco 49ers. While the rookie running back had two more rushing attempts than in Week 5, he finished second on the team in rushing attempts behind Caleb Huntley (16). Furthermore, the former BYU star averaged only 3.4 yards per rushing attempt in the contest and didn't have a role in the passing game. While fantasy players hoped Allgeier would take over as the featured back with Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) out for a few weeks, the rookie has struggled. The former BYU star is a risky flex option next week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
