Brandon Carlo Exits Saturday's Win With Injury
2 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo suffered an upper-body injury Saturday night against Arizona. The 25-year-old blue-liner took a hard hit by Liam O'Brien along the boards late in the first period. Carlo ended up logging 6:40 and 10 shifts without contributing anything to the box score. The severity of Carlo's injury currently remains unknown, the Bruins should provide an update prior to Monday's tilt against Florida. Should Carlo miss any action, the team's blue line would look very thin, as Matt Grzelcyk (shoulder) and Charlie McAvoy (shoulder) are already unavailable. Connor Clifton would greatly benefit in such a situation, and he already logged over 24 minutes on Saturday, finishing with an assist, three shots, three hits, two blocks and a plus-two rating.
