DJ LeMahieu Traveling To Cleveland
2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (toe) will travel with the team to Cleveland for the American League Division Series this weekend with the hopes of being activated if the team advances to the AL Championship Series next week. The Yankees say that he's dealing with a ligament injury to his right second toe, not a fracture. LeMahieu returned for the final series of the regular season, but he still wasn't 100 percent and was left off the roster for the ALDS. Getting him back would be a big boost for an already strong Yankees lineup. In 467 at-bats for the Yanks in 2022, the 34-year-old veteran infielder slashed .261/.357/.377 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 74 runs scored and four stolen bases in his 125 games. The three-time All-Star is an excellent catalyst at the top of their lineup when healthy.
