Carson Wentz Throws For Less Than 100 Yards
2 years agoWashington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz completed 12-of-22 passes for 99 yards in Thursday's win against the Chicago Bears. The seventh-year vet came into this game with an injury to his throwing shoulder, and the stat line shows that. Wentz was struggling to hit receivers and his sole highlight of the game was when he laid down a strong block on Bears linebacker Roquan Smith. To be fair, the 29-year-old would've had a better statistical performance if wide receiver Curtis Samuel hadn't dropped a wide-open 40-yard touchdown. Outside of that, though, Wentz did not look good on the day. We'll see if he can improve for a Week 7 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, but that's looking unlikely at the moment.
