2 years agoHouston Astros infielder Aledmys Diaz is serving as the designated hitter and is batting seventh in Game 2 of the American League Division Series on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners and right-hander Luis Castillo. Trey Mancini will retreat to the bench after serving as the team's DH in the Game 1 win on Tuesday. Jake Meyers is also in center field after Chas McCormick got the start there in the first game of the series. Diaz came in late in Game 1 on Tuesday and was hitless in his lone at-bat. He finished off the regular season on a low note, hitting .196 (10-for-51) with two home runs, six RBI, four runs scored and seven strikeouts in 14 games dating back to Sept. 13.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
