George Springer Exits Early After Scary Collision
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer exited Saturday's game early against the Seattle Mariners after colliding with shortstop Bo Bichette in the field. The 33-year-old waved to the crowd as he was carted off the field. Springer crashed down to the field after his head hit Bichette's arm. The severity of Springer's injury is unknown, and he's considered day-to-day. He was dealing with a wrist injury heading into Game 2 of the Wild Card round and suffered a new injury. Bichette managed to stay in the game. The Blue Jays lost the series to the Mariners 2-0; Springer will have an entire offseason to be ready for Spring Training.
