DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Week 6 Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday Prime Time (10/8/22)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday Prime Time Week 6 (10/8/22) slate. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

The fun doesn't end with the main slate! It never does, right? We have nine games in prime time this week, which is more than usual. We start off with a heartbroken Kentucky welcoming in South Carolina. Washington State heads down to L.A. Kansas State heads up to Ames where fall has arrived. Clemson climbs Chestnut Hill. Wake hosts a throwback Army team. There's a Holy War of sorts between Notre Dame and BYU in Sin City.

The later games on this slate begin with Alabama trying to exact revenge on A&M, possibly without Bryce Young. Florida State heads up to Raleigh to take on the defeated Wolfpack in another prime-time game. We finish this off out west with Oregon heading down to Tucson to take on the high-flying Arizona offense. This is going to be a blast!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/8/22 locking at 7:30 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($9,300)

Wake went up to West Point last year and threw down 70 points in Michie Stadium. Hartman had a huge day, throwing for 458 yards and five touchdowns on the Cadets. This is a different (read: worse) Army team than last year, but the result will largely be the same. I don't think Army puts up 56 on Wake this year, so expect a few less fireworks, but Hartman is still going to have a big day in the win.

D.J. Uiagalelei, Clemson ($7,600)

Uiagalelei isn't the turnover machine that he was last year. He guided the Tigers to a win with his arm at Wake and with his legs last weekend against NC State. Uiagalelei ran for a pair of scores last week and hasn't turned the ball over since Week 2 against...Furman. Uiagalelei is living up to that promise that he showed as a freshman filling in for Trevor Lawrence against Notre Dame in 2020. He feels underpriced here against a Boston College team that got shredded by Jordan Travis and Florida State a couple of weeks ago.

Jayden de Laura, Arizona ($6,700)

The Ducks have been chewed up through the air against Georgia, BYU, and Washington State. They did well against Stanford, but still weren't able to pick off a team leading FBS in turnovers. de Laura sometimes gets careless, so we may lose a few points through turnovers, but the upside is high for this price range. He boasts back-to-back 400-yard passing games with eight touchdowns in those contests. He'll get deep a couple of times on Oregon. I'm a big fan of the talent for this price.

Also consider: Caleb Williams, USC ($10,200); Bo Nix, Oregon ($8,900); Cameron Ward, Washington State ($5,600); Drew Pyne, Notre Dame ($5,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama ($7,600)

Even if Bryce Young plays, I would guess that the Tide try to limit hits on him. It doesn't hurt that A&M is allowing 170 yards per game on the ground. Gibbs is a good runner and will make them pay for defensive lapses in ways that Arkansas didn't always do. Gibbs had his best game at Alabama last week and should build on it this week in a game where Bama is going to love to control the ball.

Chris Rodriguez Jr., Kentucky ($7,000)

South Carolina allowed more than 200 rushing yards in each of their first three games. Games against Charlotte and South Carolina State make their stats look better than they actually are. Rodriguez looked good in his return from a suspension last week, running for 72 yards and a touchdown while hauling in three passes for another 40 yards against a tough Ole Miss defense. He is going to find the going much easier this week.

Audric Estime, Notre Dame ($5,500)

BYU has allowed at least 130 rushing yards in every game this season, yielding an average of 175.6 yards on the ground. I expect the Irish to feed Estime, who had his first career 100-yard game against the Tarheels the last time Notre Dame took the field. Estime has three touchdowns on the ground in the last two games and even hauled in three passes in the come-from-behind win over Cal. He is going to be heavily involved in this one as well and is very affordable.

Also consider: Travis Dye, USC ($7,100); Will Shipley, Clemson ($6,900); Bucky Irving, Oregon ($5,400); Michael Wiley, Arizona ($5,300); Alex Broome, Boston College ($3,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Jacob Cowing, Arizona ($7,800)

Receiver is loaded tonight, and you really can't go wrong with any of the top three options. Cowing is the lowest price of the three and is coming of a 12-reception performance last week. Arizona is going to have to throw against Oregon to stay in this game, so I see Cowing getting a ton of targets once again. Xavier Hutchinson has the highest floor, but Cowing can break the game wide open. Iowa State uses Hutchinson more on shorter routes.

Zay Flowers, Boston College ($5,700)

Flowers hasn't had a big game against Clemson in his career yet, but he has at least 70 yards in each of the last two years on the Tigers and hauled in a touchdown. He's a nice value play considering Flowers is the only threat the Eagles have to take the top off the defense. At this price, we really only need him to get loose once. North Carolina State didn't test Clemson's secondary last week. I expect Boston College to do it here with Flowers. The potential is there for a huge game at this price.

Michael Mayer, Notre Dame ($5,600)

Mayer has been Pyne's security blanket since he took over. He has scored a touchdown in each of the last three games for the Irish. Mayer's floor is high enough that he won't hurt us since he is targeted so much in the passing game. The Irish don't have a go-to receiver for Pyne yet, so his veteran tight end is going to be the one Pyne looks for when he needs to complete a pass.

Evan Stewart, Texas A&M ($3,800)

Stewart was quiet in the first half last week, but A&M looked to him a lot in the second half as they tried to come back on Mississippi State. With Ainias Smith out, Stewart is the de-facto top receiver on this team and it's a good sign that Haynes King looked for him once Max Johnson went down last week. I know it's Alabama, but Stewart is too cheap for the number of targets he should get in this game.

Also consider: Jordan Addison, USC ($9,400); A.T. Perry, Wake Forest ($7,200); Johnny Wilson, Florida State ($6,700); Tayvion Robinson, Kentucky ($5,800); Troy Franklin, Oregon ($5,100); Renard Bell, Washington State ($4,800); Robert Ferrel, Washington State ($3,500)

College Football DFS Game Stack Options

You know which team stacks are often good, but this isn't baseball. Game stacks can and do work. I prefer more team stacks on this slate, but there is some goodness in one of these games for sure. Which one is it?

Oregon at Arizona

Defense is optional in this game. Oregon has been torched through the air, so Jayden de Laura, Jacob Cowing, and Dorian Singer is a great stack. Arizona has been chewed up on the ground, so I like the run back with Bo Nix, Bucky Irving, and Michael Wiley. The good news is that you still have $10,900 left to fill out the last receiver slot and the flex slot. I love it when an affordable stack works out! You can even use one of those slots on Troy Franklin since he should still be involved for Oregon.

Honorable Mention: Washington State at USC
