Aaron Nola Earns Win, Secures Playoff Berth Monday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola turned in a gem in Monday's 3-0 win over the Astros, helping secure a playoff spot for his team. Nola pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing just two hits and no walks with nine strikeouts. The 29-year-old delivered as a high-end fantasy starter once again this season, going 11-13 with a 3.25 ERA, 10.32 K/9 rate, and 1.27 BB/9 rate over 32 starts and 205 innings pitched. Baseball fans will likely get to see a bit more from him during the playoffs and will have him in the higher end of their rankings for the 2023 season.
