Jeff Wilson Jr. Faces Top-10 Run Defense
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. has his toughest matchup of the season when the division-rival Los Angeles Rams come to the Bay Area in Week 4. Wilson rushed for 75 yards on 12 carries against the Broncos, also a tough defense, last week. But the Broncos excel more at rushing the passer than at stopping the run. The Rams have the top-ranked run defense in PFF's grades, and they are allowing the 10th-fewest rushing yards per game and per attempt. Wilson finished as the RB15 in Week 2 and the RB20 in Week 3. He has a good chance to reach the lower end of the top 24 again, even in a tough matchup, and he could be started as an RB2 or flex.
