2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers has a tough Week 4 matchup against the stingy San Francisco 49ers run defense. The Niners rank fourth in the league, giving up just 78.7 rushing yards per game. They held the Bears and Seahawks both to under 100 team rushing yards, and they are allowing the eighth least fantasy points to RBs per game. Akers has gotten more touches since Week 1, but the Rams backfield is still split close to 50-50, with Akers being the 1a back. Given the tough matchup and the insufficient volume Akers has seen all season, he is a suboptimal start Week 4 against the 49ers.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
