Matt Olson Hits 29th Homer Of Season Monday
2 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, three RBI, a walk, and a strikeout in Monday's 8-0 win over the Nationals. Olson crushed a fourth-inning Cory Abbott offering off the right-field foul pole for his 29th long ball of the season. The 28-year-old has provided more-or-less the production fantasy managers had expected in his first season with his new team, slashing .234/.319/.456 with 95 RBI. It will be interesting to see where he falls in fantasy drafts next season, for while he offers a great deal of power, there are other options at the position with just as much power and higher batting average upside.
