Bryce Elder Tosses Complete-Game Shutout Monday
2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Bryce Elder had a fabulous start in Monday's 8-0 win over the Nationals. The 23-year-old rookie pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing six hits and a walk with six strikeouts. Elder is one of the Braves' top prospects and has made nine appearances (eight starts) throughout the season, compiling a 2-3 record with a 2.76 ERA, 7.71 K/9 rate, and 4.04 BB/9 rate. He should get one more start against the Mets with Spencer Strider (oblique) on the injured list. While it has been exciting for fantasy managers in dynasty leagues to see Elder, they should not trust him in his tough final matchup this season.
