Justin Dunn To Begin Rehab Assignment Tuesday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Justin Dunn (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday and throw 50 to 55 pitches. He is eligible to return from the 15-day injured list on Friday, which means he could be able to make one more start for the Reds before the end of the 2022 regular season. The 27-year-old landed on the injured list on Sept. 15 with right shoulder tightness, but he's made quick progress after missing the first three months of the season with a similar issue. Because of all the missed time due to injury this year, Dunn has made just seven starts for Cincy, going 1-3 with a 6.10 ERA (8.31 FIP), a 1.58 WHIP and a 21:17 K:BB in 31 innings. He won't be a streaming option with a fantasy title on the line if he makes another start for the Reds.
