Russell Gage Catches Career-High 12 Passes In Week 3 Loss
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage caught 12-of-13 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown while losing a fumble in Sunday's 14-12 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He was Tom Brady's top target after Mike Evans (suspension), Chris Godwin (hamstring), and Julio Jones (knee) were inactive. The 26-year-old led the team in catches, receiving yards, and targets. Brady connected with Gage for a one-yard touchdown with 12 seconds remaining in the game. The 12 catches were a career-high for Gage and will continue to have a vital role in the offense while Godwin and Jones are sidelined. Gage will look to build on Sunday's performance in next week's matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
