J.D. McKissic Sees Receiving Work In Week 3
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back J.D. McKissic had three carries for eight yards along with six receptions on nine targets for 32 yards in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 29-year-old saw some work in the receiving game for the second week in a row due to the Commanders playing from behind for the entirety of the game. Negative game scripts have become McKissic's calling as of late. With Washington having a porous defense, they could be in plenty more of them as the season rolls on. McKissic doesn't offer upside as a runner, but his heavy usage as a pass catcher when Washington plays from behind gives him potential as a bench piece.
