Aaron Rodgers Throws Two Touchdowns During Victory Sunday
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went 27-for-35 for 255 yards, throwing two touchdowns and one interception during the team's 14-12 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was an impressive performance from the reigning MVP, as Tampa Bay had surrendered a total of just 13 points during the first two weeks. Green Bay was missing Sammy Watkins and rookie Christian Watson, but the trio of Allen Lazard, Romeo Doubs and Robert Tonyan stepped up and totaled 155 of Rodgers' 255 passing yards. Putting up these numbers against a stout defense like Tampa Bay's is a promising sign that the Packers passing attack is starting to take form in the post-Davante Adams era. The 39-year-old will face the New England Patriots in Week 4 and should be considered a back-end QB1 for fantasy purposes.
