Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 4: Top Free Agent Adds Include Chris Olave, Romeo Doubs, Zay Jones, Isaiah McKenzie

Week 3 featured a lot of yards. Not counting what might happen on the Sunday night or Monday night games, three wide receivers finished with over 150 yards this, with two more in the 140s. Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 4.

Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Wide Receivers Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints - 65% rostered

The premise of this article is to look at players rostered around 50% or less, but I'm going to slide in one guy above that mark this week because Chris Olave had nine catches for 147 yards. After a quiet Week 1, he's been targeted 26 times over the last two weeks. If Olave is sitting on your waiver wire for some reason, add him this week in all formats.

Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers - 25% rostered

Everyone keeps saying that someone has to catch passes in Green Bay. Someone has to emerge. And well...maybe Romeo Doubs did this week, as he caught all eight of his targets for 73 yards and a score. He played a huge role in this one and might have established himself as the No. 1 receiver on this Packers team. He's a must-add in all formats.

Isaiah McKenzie, Buffalo Bills - 41% rostered

I'm not going to say "I told you so," but the Bills receiving corps this week looked like I thought it would in the preseason: Stefon Diggs as the No. 1 and Isaiah McKenzie seeing the second-most targets from the slot role. McKenzie caught seven of his nine targets for 76 yards and a touchdown and should be rostered in all full-PPR leagues, and most 0.5-PPR leagues.

Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars - 10% rostered

Jones was targeted 11 times in this one, catching 10 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Jacksonville has unlocked some things offensively in Trevor Lawrence's second season, with this team emerging as one that can sustain two fantasy-relevant wide receivers. One is Christian Kirk. Week 3 suggests that Zay Jones is the other.

Russell Gage, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 42% rostered

With the top three receivers out, the Buccaneers looked Gage's way often, as he was targeted 13 times, catching 12 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. He won't have this little competition for targets again, but it's possible that this game earned him Tom Brady's trust, which could help him survive once the Bucs are back at full strength.

Tyler Boyd, Cincinnati Bengals - 51% rostered

Let's not forget that Tyler Boyd exists. He had his best game of the season, catching four passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Boyd has found the end zone every week now—twice via touchdown and the other time via two-point conversion. He's a solid fantasy flex option.

DeVante Parker, New England Patriots - 25% rostered

Parker had a huge game, catching five passes for 156 yards. He was targeted 10 times. After a combined one catch for nine yards coming into this one, this was a welcome sign of relief for anyone who was still holding onto Parker. He would be higher on this list if it wasn't for one big factor: Jakobi Meyers was out with a knee injury. Can he keep this up with Meyers back?

Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers - 27% rostered

With Keenan Allen out, Palmer led the Chargers in targets with nine, catching six of them for 99 yards. If Allen misses more time, then Palmer is someone who is worth starting in 12-team leagues. If Allen is back, he might not be playable. Putting in a claim for him is more about Allen's outlook than Palmer's.

Mack Hollins, Las Vegas Raiders - 2% rostered

With Hunter Renfrow out, Hollins was targeted 10 times, catching eight passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. He's now been targeted 18 times over the last two games and should have a role going forward—my only worry is that the role will decline because of how many options there are on this team.

Wide Receiver Deeper League Waiver Wire Pickups

K.J. Osborn, Minnesota Vikings - 6% rostered

Osborn was targeted a total of six times in the first two weeks and it looked like he could be ignored in fantasy. And then Week 3 happened, with Osborn leading the team in targets with eight, and five catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. But most of that came on one drive and Osborn is still the third option on this team, so in shallower leagues, there are better options.

Josh Reynolds, Detroit Lions - 0% rostered

Reynolds led the Lions in targets with 10, bringing in six of them for 96 yards. This is now two nice showings in a row for Reynolds, who had a touchdown last week. But Amon-Ra St. Brown missed some time in this one, which helped Reynolds see a larger role. He's worth a look in deep leagues, but I'm not sure we should expect him to produce enough to have value in a 12-team league.

Greg Dortch, Arizona Cardinals - 17% rostered

Dorch was targeted 10 times, catching nine of those passes for 80 yards. His future outlook takes a dip every week as we inch closer to the return of DeAndre Hopkins, but an A.J. Green knee injury on Sunday could keep Dortch in the picture. He's been solid every week and Rondale Moore is still out with a hamstring issue.

Marvin Jones Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars - 5% rostered

Jones caught his first touchdown of the season, but he also finished with under 40 receiving yards for the third time in three games. Jones is involved in this offense, but he seems to be third in the pecking order. In a deep-enough league, he's a boom/bust option.

Laviska Shenault Jr., Carolina Panthers - 1% rostered

This Panthers receiving corps doesn't make a lot of sense. No receiver had more than two catches this week, with Shenault leading the way with two receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown. He displayed his ability to make plays after the catch and could be interesting in a 16-team league. Or in dynasty.
