A.J. Brown Catches First Touchdown As An Eagle
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown caught five of 10 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown during the team's 24-8 victory over the Washington Commanders Sunday. The 25-year-old's nine-yard touchdown late in the second quarter was his first as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Teammate DeVonta Smith led the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards this week, but Brown still finished with a fine stat line for fantasy managers. Philadelphia has averaged 32.7 pass attempts per game through three weeks. With quarterback Jalen Hurts averaging just 23.8 pass attempts per game over his final eight played last season, the offense has shifted to a pass-heavier scheme. Philadelphia has proven to fantasy managers that they can support two great fantasy assets at the wide receiver position, even when blowing opponents out. Brown will face the Jacksonville Jaguars at home next week and should be considered a fringe WR1 for fantasy purposes.
