Freddie Freeman Scratched Due To Illness
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman (illness) was scratched from the starting lineup Saturday due to an illness. There is a chance that this illness is also the reason he missed yesterday's game, but since he was originally in the lineup today it seems like he is progressing towards a return to the lineup soon. It is unfortunate timing for fantasy managers who are in head-to-head playoffs this week, but for those playing next week he should be able to contribute. Freeman has been otherworldly once again this season, batting .328 with 20 homers, 110 runs, 94 RBI, and 12 steals to top it off. He was well worth his late first/early second round pick.
