Christian McCaffrey Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
McCaffrey missed Wednesday's practice, but the team said his absence was not injury-related.
That changed on Thursday though, as McCaffrey popped up on the injury report with what the team described as an ankle injury. He logged limited participation, putting his status for Week 3 in doubt and putting fantasy managers in a state of worry heading into the newest slate of games.
Is Christian McCaffrey Injured or Playing in Week 3?
Fantasy managers received much better news on Friday morning as the Panthers declared that McCaffrey will play in Week 3. Furthermore, he has been removed from the injury report and won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game. Fantasy managers invested in McCaffrey's availability can finally feel a sense of relief ahead of this weekend.
With McCaffrey slated to start on Sunday, he should be viewed as a mid-to-high RB1 in fantasy football. Although the Panthers' offense is struggling, McCaffrey has elite dual-threat ability out of the backfield, making him a thrilling talent in all formats. Without a doubt, he should continue to be started in all leagues this weekend.
