Darrell Henderson Jr. A Player To Avoid In Week 3
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. has a road trip to Glendale to face the Arizona Cardinals in what has the makings of a high-scoring showdown between divisional rivals. The fantasy potential for Henderson is heavily dependent on his fluctuating role in the offense and the unpredictable nature of the game script. But if the game ends up going like Vegas bookies and betters are predicting, it probably won't be good for LA's 25-year-old running back. The over/under on points of 48.5 indicates it is expected to be a shootout through the air. That makes sense given both teams threw the ball heavily in each of their first two games, and both are amongst the top ten in pass-to-run ratio. Henderson was the lead back in Week 1, but Akers got the majority of carries and targets Week 2, so it seems Rams coach Sean McVay will be using a split backfield approach this season. Keep Henderson on your bench if you can.
