Julio Jones had sleeper status heading into the 2022 NFL season thanks to his cheap price tag in the Tom Brady offense. With Chris Godwin (hamstring) more than likely out and Mike Evans (one-game suspension) unavailable, Jones could step in as Brady's No. 1 WR against the Green Bay Packers.
However, Jones is also questionable for Week 3 with a knee issue, so his status throughout the week will be important to monitor. Russell Gage, Breshad Perriman, and Jaelon Darden have been mostly unspectacular, so this could be Jones' chance to pay off for fantasy managers that took a shot on him.
Cole Beasley was also added to the Buccaneers' practice squad, so all in all, this might set up to be a crowded and confusing wide receiver room in the Brady vs Aaron Rodgers showdown.

Julio Jones Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
Jones didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, but he's getting all Wednesdays off this season as a "veteran rest" day. However, tomorrow's practice report might not tell the entire story, either. Throughout his career, he has often played in games with little-to-no practice reps, so this is going to be closer to a game-time decision that we'll have to monitor up until kickoff.
Today is a scheduled day off for Julio Jones, and Chris Godwin was not out at practice during the window open to media. Godwin is working his way back from a hamstring injury sustained in the opener at Dallas.

Jones has often been on the fantasy injury radar, and it's likely going to continue throughout the season. For now, all we can do is wait for more information to come out and decline to speculate on his Week 3 status.
Should I Start Julio Jones in Fantasy Football if Active?
If Jones is active, he's very close to "must start" territory in fantasy football. Godwin will more than likely be sidelined at least one more week, and with Evans out of action, we could see Jones' 2022 ceiling in this Packers-Buccaneers matchup. Cole Beasley could be active, but he shouldn't be too involved in the offense as a new member of the team.
Jones should be considered the top-ranked receiver for the Buccaneers. Russell Gage likely has a safer floor, but Jones has the downfield upside we want in our fantasy lineups.
