DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Thursday Week 4 Daily College Fantasy Football (9/22/22)

Chase Brown - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily College Fantasy Football, NFL Draft

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Thursday Week 4 (9/22/22). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are back to some college football contests on Thursdays and I'm all for it! We've got a couple of Fun Belt teams going. We've got a border battle. And we've got one that is just on here because it's football, but hey...I'll take any college football over the pros!

We start this off with West Virginia heading down to Blacksburg to take on the reeling Hokies. Georgia State welcomes CCU in a battle for early Sun Belt supremacy. We close it out in Champaign with the Moccasins heading up from the mountains to the Illinois farmland. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/22/22 locking at 7:30 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Grayson McCall, Coastal Carolina ($8,000)

McCall is this CCU offense right now. He has nine touchdown passes already with one more on the ground while only committing one turnover. This is not the same CCU offense with Isaiah Likely, Jaivon Heiligh, and Shermari Jones no longer on the team. What the Chanticleers still have is a very talented quarterback leading the new set of skill players. McCall has the safest floor here since I think Illinois is going to run a lot against Chattanooga.

Darren Grainger, Georgia State ($5,800)

Grainger isn't just an option quarterback. This Georgia State offense does a lot of things and a lot of things well. Grainger threw for more than 300 yards on Charlotte last week and still put up 17.74 DraftKings points against South Carolina in Week 1 despite completing just seven passes. Grainger does a good job of limiting turnover and racks up tons of yardage on the ground and through the air. He is very mispriced on this slate. The ceiling is higher for Grainger than any other player on this slate with the possible exception of Brown.

Also consider: JT Daniels, West Virginia ($7,000); Grant Wells, Virginia Tech ($6,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Chase Brown, Illinois ($6,900)

Let's see here...Brown has 496 rushing yards in three games against three decent opponents (Wyoming, Indiana, and Virginia). Hey guys! Let's price him at less than 7k! Sometimes I love you, DraftKings. We literally can't fade Brown at this price. We have to get different elsewhere. He is a lock for another 100+ yard day and should score at least one touchdown.

Tucker Gregg, Georgia State ($4,800)

The Chanticleers defense has given up their share of yards. Even though the Georgia State backfield is a committee of sorts with Grainger also stealing carries, Gregg still sees a good amount of work. I don't see this being a low-scoring affair, so I still see a good amount of work for Gregg at this price. If you have the money to use King, he should be in for a strong game, but I still think most Georgia State pieces are too cheap for the situation.

Also consider: Keshawn King, Virginia Tech ($6,000); Tony Mathis Jr., West Virginia ($5,800); Reggie Love III, Illinois ($5,300); CJ Beasley, Coastal Carolina ($4,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Bryce Ford-Wheaton, West Virginia ($7,100)

Ford-Wheaton has ten more receptions than anyone else on the team and as many receiving touchdowns as all of the others combined. He is the focal point of this passing offense. I don't care much about the Towson game. West Virginia was up big early and didn't need to use Ford-Wheaton. I trust his performances in the close contests against Pitt and Kansas. This is going to be another battle for the Mountaineers. Expect another massive game from Ford-Wheaton.

Sam Pinckney, Coastal Carolina ($6,500)

Pinckney is the new Jaivon Heiligh in this offense...and oh, by the way, he transferred in from Georgia State over the spring. There's a little added incentive here for Pinckney against his former team. He is leading the Chanticleers in receptions and yards so far this season. The touchdowns won't be far behind. I would say he gets one against his former team here.

Jamari Thrash, Georgia State ($5,000)

Is this section's pricing misadventures of Georgia State players, DraftKings puts thrash at 5k one week after he blows up against Charlotte for ten receptions and 213 yards. This wasn't an aberration either. Thrash had strong games against both North and South Carolina even though he didn't find the end zone. Consider the CCU defense somewhere between Charlotte and the Carolinas. That should put Thrash somewhere near 15 DraftKings points for a floor. Yes, we have another great bargain on our hands here.

CJ Donaldson, West Virginia ($4,300)

Donaldson is listed as a wide receiver, but only has three receptions on the season. What he is is the one of the most electric players in the country. Donaldson, a true freshman, has scored six rushing touchdowns already and is averaging almost ten yards per carry so far. The Mountaineers keep finding ways to get him the ball in space. His price is way too low for as explosive as he can be.

Also consider: Isaiah Williams, Illinois ($7,700); Sam James, West Virginia ($5,900); Jadan Blue, Virginia Tech ($5,100); Javin Whatley, Chattanooga ($3,900)
