Harrison Bader Making Yankees Debut Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader (foot) has been activated from the 60-day injured list and is making his debut with the team on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Luis Ortiz. Bader is starting in center field and is batting seventh. The 28-year-old is mostly known for his defense in center field and his speed on the basepaths. He should be the team's primary center fielder for the rest of the regular season and the playoffs. Before getting injured in 246 at-bats with the St. Louis Cardinals, Bader hit .256/.303/.370 with five home runs, 21 RBI, 35 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 72 games. He should be returned to lineups for fantasy managers still in need of stolen bases, although it remains to be seen how much he'll run coming off his foot injury.
