Sharife Cooper Inks Training Camp Deal With Cleveland
2 years agoPoint guard Sharife Cooper has signed a training camp contract with the Cavaliers, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Cooper appeared in 13 games as a reserve for Atlanta last season, seeing extremely limited action at the NBA level; his time in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks was much more fruitful, as he averaged 19.2 PPG across 11 contests. Cooper, a five-star recruit during his high school days, starred at Auburn where he earned SEC All-Freshman team honors in his lone season on campus. Chosen in the second round by the Hawks, the 21-year-old is looking to latch on to a franchise that has a newly stocked backcourt in the wake of Donovan Mitchell's acquisition.
