Irv Smith Jr. Finds The End Zone In Week 2
2 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. caught five passes for 36 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in Monday night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Smith Jr. was way more involved than he was in the season opener, so this is an encouraging sign moving forward. A costly drop that would have turned into a big play could have put him in line for a really solid game, as this was just one of many mistakes for the Minnesota offense in this one. The 24-year-old can be treated as a TE2 moving forward, as he figures to be at best third in line for targets from quarterback Kirk Cousins.
