Dezmon Patmon Catches Two Passes In Shutout Loss
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Dezmon Patmon was targeted six times in the 24-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he hauled in just two of them for 24 yards in Week 2. Patmon was a healthy scratch in the season-opening tie with the Houston Texans, but he was active in this one with both Michael Pittman Jr. (quadriceps) and rookie Alec Pierce (concussion) out. Ashton Dulin served as quarterback Matt Ryan's top pass-catcher with five catches for 79 yards on seven targets. Patmon and Mike Strachan combined for just three grabs for 47 yards in the blowout loss to drop the Colts to 0-1-1 to begin the year. It's unclear if one or both of Pittman and Pierce will be ready to play in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but Patmon certainly isn't worth a waiver-wire pickup.
