We're through two weeks of the NFL season, but we'll never get to a place where we can ignore the streamer game at the kicker position in fantasy football. Even though we have two games of data for each team, kicker projections are very elastic week-to-week, so it's time to forget everything we've seen so far and use important keys to make start-or-sit decisions at kicker. Things like whether the game is indoors or outdoors and the projected point total can steer us in the right direction with this frustrating position to predict.
Kicker statistics vary widely year-to-year and even week-to-week, but if you were one of the first fantasy managers to draft a kicker such as Justin Tucker, Tyler Bass, or Daniel Carlson, you're likely starting them every week. It's worth noting Harrison Butker could be back for the Chiefs this week after injuring his ankle in Week 1. He missed the Thursday night game against the Chargers, but he'll be coming off of an extended week of rest.
For the rest of us who are playing the weekly streamer game at kicker, we're relying on a lot of variables for our kicker to deliver a solid fantasy performance, but that's just the name of the game for leagues that utilize the position.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 3
Note: Only players who are rostered in fewer than 50 percent of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.
Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings (vs. Lions)
Joseph's Minnesota Vikings squad has a capable offense led by Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson. The Vikings will face off with the Lions, who also look to have a strong offense. These two teams aren't the same boring offenses we've been accustomed to over the last few years and this matchup has the highest projected point total at 53.0. Fire up Joseph one more time in Week 3.
Austin Seibert, Detroit Lions (at Vikings)
Greg Joseph is a strong play thanks to the offenses on both sides, so Seibert warrants consideration too. This game is indoors and is capable of becoming a NFC North shootout, so Seibert should have plenty of fantasy point-scoring opportunities. The Lions' offense has scored at least 35 points in both of its games thus far, so Seibert has sneaky season-long value moving forward.
Dustin Hopkins, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. Jaguars)
This game total is set at 48 points, one of the highest totals of the week. Of course, a lot of that has to do with the high-powered Chargers' offense, but Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars' offensive attack looks like it's set to break out, too. If the Jaguars can make this a competitive game, Justin Herbert and company will have to keep the foot on the gas – setting up Hopkins for several scoring opportunities.
Kicker Busts to Avoid for Week 3
Nick Folk, New England Patriots (vs. Ravens)
The Patriots' offense has looked lifeless through two weeks, so Folk's scoring opportunities look like they're going to be slim in 2022. The Ravens' defense fell apart against the Dolphins, but New England doesn't have Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle, so don't expect a big offensive day for Mac Jones. New England is content to play the field position game and strong defense – shortening the game and limiting scoring chances for all players involved.
Graham Gano, New York Giants (vs. Cowboys)
The Daniel Jones versus Cooper Rush quarterback matchup doesn't set up for a high-scoring game, so with a 40 point total projected for the Monday night showdown, Gano and Cowboys' kicker Brett Maher are easy fades in Week 3.
