Matthew Stafford Bounces Back In Win Over Falcons
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 27-of-36 passes for 272 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Rams' 31-27 victory over the Atlanta Falcons Week 2. The whole Rams offense looked more in-sync than they did in their sputtering Week 1 showing. Allen Robinson II was targeted four times and made five catches. Running backs Darrell Henderson and Cam Akers both had double-digit carries. It was a step in the right direction for the defending Super Bowl champs, but it was not without its miscues. Cooper Kupp went over 100 yards again but lost a fumble. Stafford has now thrown multiple interception in each of his last three games. His picks are making him finish at the bottom end of the top 12 QBs this week, rather than in the top six. Next week another high volume, high yardage outing against the shaky Cardinals defense.
