Sterling Shepard Leads Giants With 10 Targets In Week 2
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard received a team-high 10 targets in Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers, turning those targets into six receptions for 34 yards. Despite being the only player on the Giants to garner double-digit targets, the Oklahoma product failed to do much with the targets he received. The wide receiver room in New York appears to be a revolving door as Brian Daboll implements his new offensive scheme. Shepard is the longest-tenured wideout on the Giants, so he's accustomed to playing with Daniel Jones. That being said, it's tough to trust the veteran wideout every week, especially with the wide receivers being deployed differently in the first two weeks.
