Evan Engrams Leads Jaguars In Receptions And Targets In Week 2
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram led the team with seven receptions for 46 yards on a team-high eight targets in the win versus the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. The former first-round pick hasn't caught seven or more passes in a game since Week 16 of the 2020 season when he was with the New York Giants. The athletic tight end was a nice security blanket for Trevor Lawrence in the shutout win, with his longest reception being 12 yards. The Jaguars have a handful of weapons for Lawrence to target each week, so there are going to be quiet outings for Engram in certain weeks. Even though the Ole Miss product has yet to find the end zone with his new team, his 12 total targets in the first two weeks is a positive sign for his role on the Jaguars moving forward.
