2 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery failed to get much going in the season opener but will look to bounce back in a Week 2 divisional showdown with the Green Bay Packers. Last week, Montgomery split work with Khalil Herbert, who scored on a three-yard run. It was reported all offseason that Herbert would be more involved this year, so fantasy managers should not expect Montgomery to be the workhorse that he has been in seasons prior. Still, Montgomery should be more productive this week as offensive output was limited in Week 1 on rain-soaked Soldier Field. He will continue to see targets out of the backfield, but the Green Bay defense will be a difficult test as they allowed the seventh-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2021. Montgomery is best viewed as a low-end RB2 this week.--Jorden Hill - RotoBaller
