NFL DFS Picks for Week 2

Before diving into some solid fantasy score totals this week, we must first cover the PrizePicks scoring format. The format is PPR, which stands for "point per reception", meaning every reception is worth one point. Rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points and passing touchdowns are worth four points. Each rushing or receiving yard is worth .1, meaning every 10 yards of either is worth one point. Quarterback passing yards are worth .04, which means every 25 passing yards are worth one point. If you ever have questions, you can always click the "scoring chart" option above the player selections for each contest. Now let's get to some solid fantasy score props for this week.

Nick Chubb more than 89.5 rushing yards - This is a great spot for Chubb as the Browns will enter this game as six-point home favorites, which should lead to some additional carries. Last week, Chubb carried the ball 22 times for 141 rushing yards, and more of the same with Jacoby Brisset under center would seem likely against the Jets this week. In 2021, the Jets ranked fourth-worst in the league in terms of rushing yards allowed to the running back position by allowing an average of nearly 114 rushing yards per game.

Derek Carr more than 265.5 passing yards - Carr has a solid matchup against Arizona this week, who just allowed Patrick Mahomes to torch them for 360 passing yards. Carr himself managed to throw for 295 passing yards against a Chargers defense that should be much stronger than this Cardinals defense. The fact that the total in this game is also projected near 52 points should lead to some additional passing on both sides of the ball and provides plenty of shootout potential.

Davante Adams more than 92.5 receiving yards - Adams pairs nicely with Carr and the shootout game script on Sunday. Adams instantly became Carr's favorite target against the Chargers as he was targeted a total of 17 (!) times and hauled in 10 balls for a total of 141 receiving yards. If Adams receives even half of the targets against Arizona that he received against the Chargers, he has a great shot of getting over this total, which is also a total he eclipsed eight times with Aaron Rodgers in 2021.

Matt Ryan more than 235.5 passing yards - Matt Ryan had a huge week against the Texans in his Colts' debut as he threw for a whopping 352 passing yards. This week, we just need 236 passing yards against a lackluster Jaguars defense that allowed Carson Wentz to burn them for 313 passing yards. The Jags have been awful in the secondary for some time since losing Jalen Ramsey and allowed an average of 242 passing yards per game to the position in 2021. This game has a current spread of the Colts -4, so the game could be relatively close throughout with the Colts continuing to use a balanced attack as they are known to do. If this is the case, Ryan should have no trouble throwing for 250 yards or so.
