Braves @ Giants
More or Less Contest
Jakob Junis more than 4.5 strikeouts and Kyle Wright more than 4.5 strikeouts
Junis is not known as a high strikeout pitcher, but he has gone over 4.5 strikeouts in three of his previous five starts. He also has a solid matchup against the Braves in this one in terms of strikeout potential. Over the previous two weeks, the Braves have posted a K rate of 28.2% vs. right-handed pitching, which is ranked second-worst in the league. Junis has a great shot of getting to five in this one.
Kyle Wright is on the other side of this matchup and has an even better matchup against the Giants. Over the previous two weeks, the Giants have posted the highest K rate against right-handers with a rate of 29.8%. Wright has also struck out at least five in four of his previous five starts as well as six of his previous eight starts.

Yankees @ Red Sox
More or Less Contest
Gerrit Cole more than 6.5 strikeouts and Nick Pivetta less than 5.5 strikeouts
This number is almost a gift on Cole as he has struck out at least seven in two of his previous three starts and is fresh off of a 14-strikeout performance against the Minnesota Twins, who have a relatively comparable K rate to these Red Sox over the previous two weeks. Cole has also faced the Red Sox three times in 2022 and struck out a total of 22 batters across 16 innings pitched.
Pivetta has not looked great recently and only has eclipsed this total twice in his last eight starts and none of his previous three starts. It will not get much easier against the Yankees as they are currently posting a 130 wRC+ against right-handers over the previous two weeks, which screams that this is a game Pivetta could get lit up in. They are also posting just a 20% K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, which ranks 10th-best in baseball over that span.
