NFL DFS Picks for Broncos at Seahawks
Before diving into some solid fantasy score totals this week, we must first cover the PrizePicks scoring format. The format is PPR, which stands for point per reception, meaning every reception is worth one point. Rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points and passing touchdowns are worth four points.
Each rushing or receiving yard is worth .1, meaning every 10 yards of either is worth one point. Quarterback passing yards are worth .04, which means every 25 passing yards are worth one point. If you ever have questions, you can always click the "scoring chart" option above the player selections for each contest. Now let's get to some solid fantasy score props for this week.
Russell Wilson less than 255.5 passing yards - Wilson is more than capable of hitting this total against a defense that ranked second-worst in the league in terms of passing yards allowed per game to the quarterback position in 2021, but he likely will not have to. The Broncos enter this game as 6.5-point favorites and will likely be able to have their way against this Seahawks defense.
Not only did the Seahawks rank second-worst in terms of passing yards allowed to quarterbacks, but they also ranked in the bottom half of the league by allowing an average of over 95 rushing yards per game to the running back position. The Broncos will likely come into this game establishing the run with their two-headed monster backfield consisting of Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon III, which should lead to reduced passing attempts from Wilson in Week 1.
Albert Okwuegbunam more than 8.0 fantasy score - Although we like the Wilson total under for passing yards, Okweugbunam should still be in line for a solid day against this Seahawks defense. In 2021, Seattle ranked third-worst in the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to the tight end position by allowing over 12 fantasy points per game. They allowed nine total touchdowns to the position and nearly 57 receiving yards per game. With the exit of Noah Fant in the Russell Wilson deal, Okwuegbunam will be the focal point of the short passing game for this offense in 2022.
D.K. Metcalf more than 13.0 fantasy score - Metcalf will likely be the security blanket for Geno Smith much the way he was in 2021 when Smith was under center. Geno played in four games in the middle of the 2021 season and targeted Metcalf a total of 23 times and scored a total of five touchdowns, including multiple touchdowns in two of those four games.
