St. Louis Cardinals infielder Tommy Edman had another solid game Saturday, going 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in an 8-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Edman now has 13 home runs on the year to go with a .726 OPS, 86 runs scored, 51 RBI, and 26 stolen bases. He has a six-game hitting streak with four home runs and three multi-hit performances in that span. The stolen bases alone would make him valuable in fantasy, but with a bit of a power surge going on, he's much more than a one-dimensional option.--Doug Goldring

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (ankle), who did not start in Wednesday's series finale win over the visiting Miami Marlins, said he tweaked his right ankle on Tuesday night and still felt some discomfort on Wednesday. The Dodgers have a scheduled day off on Thursday before beginning a series in Atlanta against the Braves on Friday, so fantasy managers will want to check back then to see if Edman is feeling good enough to play. The 29-year-old should be considered day-to-day until further notice. The veteran switch-hitter isn't tearing the cover off the baseball through the first month of the 2025 season -- he's hitting .252 (28-for-111) -- but he's managed to be productive for his fantasy managers with 24 RBI, 19 runs scored, two stolen bases and eight home runs in 30 games played. UPDATE: Manager Dave Roberts expects Edman back in the lineup in one of the first two games in the series against Atlanta.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Tommy Edman and catcher Will Smith are both taking a seat for Wednesday's series finale against the visiting Miami Marlins. The hot-hitting Andy Pages is starting in center field and batting fifth, while Austin Barnes is doing the catching and hitting in the nine-hole against Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill. Enrique Hernandez is at second and is hitting seventh. Pages is among the hottest hitters in baseball right now, as he comes into Wednesday's contest riding a seven-game hitting streak in which he's gone 17-for-29 with three doubles, four home runs, eight RBI, three steals and nine runs scored. Edman has been on the bench for two of the last three games and has gone 3-for-19 in his last six games. It's just a regular rest day for Smith, who is hitting a strong .316 (24-for-76) in the early going with three homers and 17 RBI for the Blue.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman is not in the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the visiting Miami Marlins at Dodger Stadium. With Edman starting on the bench on Monday, veteran Miguel Rojas will start at second base and will bat ninth against Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera. Edman currently boasts a modest .243 (26-for-107) batting average in the early going in 2025, but he has also delivered eight home runs, 19 RBI and 18 runs scored in the best lineup in baseball. The switch-hitting 29-year-old should return to action on Tuesday and continue to be productive offensively for fantasy managers. Edman went 1-for-11 with four strikeouts in the weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rojas is one to ignore for DFS purposes. He's hitless in just one career at-bat against Cabrera.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Tommy Edman continued his early-season power surge Tuesday, launching a three-run home run in the first inning of Tuesday’s 11-10 extra-inning loss to the Chicago Cubs. It was Edman's eighth home run of the season, already surpassing his total of six from last year. He also added a sacrifice fly and a single, finishing 2-for-4 with four RBI on the night. Edman is now slashing .272/.303/.576 and remains a key contributor to the Dodgers' potent lineup. Los Angeles will look to split the two-game series with the Cubs on Wednesday before an off day leading into the weekend--Julian Brooke - RotoBaller
