With Tom Brady back in the fold and Mike Evans opposite him on the field, the question now becomes, will Chris Godwin be on the field in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys?
With a current ADP of WR 22, many folks are drafting him with the thinking he will not be.
This is a smart move for those who are taking him this late in drafts. If he does miss a game or two, he will still be able to pay out on the draft price. If he is available in Week 1, he will certainly outperform this slot.

Chris Godwin's Fantasy Football Outlook
In 14 games last season, Godin averaged seven receptions/game and totaled 1,103 yards and five TD. After getting injured during the Week 15 game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers limped to the finish and came up just short against the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs. This stung for the entire team surrounding Tom Brady. Therefore, Brady is back. Therefore, Godwin has spent the last nine months rehabbing extensively.
Thus far the Buccaneers have been taking it slow in bringing Godwin back. With Julio Jones and Russell Gage on the roster, they have this luxury. But they know their best chance to win is with Godwin out there. He has been cleared from the PUP list and is out there in training camp. This is a good sign. A good sign for Tampa Bay and a good sign for those fantasy managers who took a chance on him at WR 22.
In July, reports were that Chris Godwin would only be put back on the field when healthy. As we have seen through training camp, he has been practicing. This makes me think he is healthy after his recovery, although you may want a backup just in case. The feeling around Tampa Bay training camp is he will be ready to go in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. In a game that should soundly hit the over, it will be a welcome sight to have him back across from Evans and taking control of the field with Julio Jones and Russell Gage.
