3 years agoCorey Conners comes into TPC Southwind off back-to-back top-30 finishes at The Open Championship and the Wyndham Championship. He also finds himself 29th in the FedEx Cup standings, which is just inside the Tour Championship threshold, so Conners has something to play for this week. TPC Southwind should be a course Conners can perform well at due to his approach game. Conners sits fourth in greens in regulation percentage this season, as well as 21st in strokes gained on approach. With those stats, it's surprising for Conners to not have had a big performance at the event before. With three straight top-36 finishes at TPC Southwind, this could be the year for the breakout. In DFS, Conners has elite value with his cheap price, and ability to easily pull a top-20, or better, this week. --Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoCorey Conners finished tied for sixth at The PLAYERS Championship last week and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Inn. With back-to-back top-10 finishes and four total in 2025, this will be Conners' first appearance in the Valspar Championship. It's worth noting that at last year's Valspar Championship, 37% of approach shots came from distances of 150-200 yards. Over the past 12 months, Conners has ranked in the 99th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from this distance while in the fairway. Given his recent performances, Conners could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoCorey Conners was in the hunt on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but despite not registering any bogeys, he was unable to gain ground on the leaders, managing just one birdie on the day. He now looks to carry that momentum into THE PLAYERS Championship, an event he has competed in five times, making the cut in four of those appearances, including a T13 finish here last year. To replicate that success at TPC Sawgrass, Conners will need to be solid from tee to green, where he currently ranks 90th on tour, averaging 0.159 strokes gained per round. He has also been impressive off the tee, ranking 39th in driving accuracy and 61st in strokes gained off the tee (0.233 per round). Additionally, over the last 12 months, Conners ranks in the 83rd percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards, a range that accounted for 32.3% of all approach shots here last year. At $7,900 on DraftKings, fantasy managers can confidently rely on Conners in their lineups once again.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller

1 month agoCorey Conners finished tied for 24th at the Genesis Invitational last month and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club. He has missed only one cut in 2025 and has historically performed well at this tournament, finishing tied for 18th in 2024 and tied for 21st in 2023. It's important to note that at last year's Arnold Palmer Invitational, over 35% of approach shots came from distances of 150-200 yards. Over the past 12 months, Conners has ranked in the 99th percentile for approach shots from that distance in the fairway. Given this performance, he could be a solid addition to DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

2 months agoSince his T5 at The Sentry, things have been ugly--primarily on the greens--for Corey Conners. The Canadian has lost over 11 strokes putting over his last three contests, and his record in four events played at Torrey Pines isn't much different. The ball striking remains strong, but bleeding that many shots away with the flat stick is impossible to overcome. Things tend to get much brighter for the 33-year-old once he returns to the more predictable weather in Florida and beyond, so it is probably best to hold off on finding places in lineups until then.--Todd McGill - RotoBaller
