Manny Machado Tweaks Left Ankle Tuesday
2 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Bob Melvin said that third baseman Manny Machado (ankle) tweaked his left ankle "a little bit" hitting the first-base bag as he reached on an error in the 10th inning of Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Tigers, per the Athletic's Dennis Lin. This doesn't sound like a serious issue, but the team will re-evaluate him Wednesday morning. Machado went 2-for-5 with two singles in the game. The 30-year-old is having another great season, slashing .301/.372/.509 with 16 home runs, 54 RBI, and seven stolen bases. Fantasy managers should have a clearer picture tomorrow morning, but hopefully, he won't end up having to miss any time.
