2 years agoColorado Rockies closer Daniel Bard managed to navigate an interesting ninth inning to earn his 21st save of the season in Monday's 2-0 win over the Brewers. Bard entered the game to preserve a two-run lead. He allowed a leadoff single, then another runner reached on a fielding error. Bard got the next two hitters out on flyouts, then walked the bases loaded before getting the final out on a loud lineout to second base. While this outing wasn't the cleanest, Bard has been a reliable fantasy option this season, converting all but two save opportunities with a 1.91 ERA and a 10.27 K/9 rate.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
