Mets Acquire Daniel Vogelbach From Pirates
2 years agoThe New York Mets have acquired first baseman Daniel Vogelbach from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for rookie reliever Colin Holderman. Vogelbach is likely to primarily DH against right-handed pitching for the Mets, who have struggled to find someone to fill that spot. The burly lefty is only slashing .228/.338/.430 but has a .896 OPS against righties. He might be worth a look in deeper daily leagues where owners can sit him when he isn't playing. As for Holderman, he has shown some promise out of the bullpen and has team control, which is good for the rebuilding Pirates. He doesn't hold any fantasy value.
