2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez (back) was scratched from the starting lineup Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays with back spasms. It should be noted that Martinez had a busy few days, flying to Los Angeles for the all-star game and then flying back to Boston for tonight's game. The Red Sox might just be giving the 34-year-old veteran an extra day to rest. Nevertheless, fantasy managers should keep an eye on the situation over the weekend and be prepared to replace Martinez if the injury worsens.
