2 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates selected second baseman Termarr Johnson fourth overall in the 2022 MLB draft. Johnson is a left-handed hitter who has immense potential as both a contact hitter and power hitter. He is widely considered as the best overall pure hitter in the 2022 draft class. He played shortstop during his time at Benjamin Elijah Mays High School in Atlanta, Georgia, but is projected to be a better fit at second base in the majors. That plan certainly works out well for the Pirates as he could be an ideal middle infield pairing with the team's rookie shortstop Oneil Cruz in a few years.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
