Chris Sale Exits After Being Hit Hard On His Finger
2 years agoBoston Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale (finger) was removed from his start against the New York Yankees on Sunday. He was hit in his left pinky finger by a hard line drive off the bat of Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks. The line drive was clocked with a 106.7 mph exit velocity. Sale was holding up his hand after the incident and it looked relatively clear that he had broken his finger. He went straight to the dugout after the play. The Red Sox have not released an official update on his injury quite yet, but we'd expect for Sale to be headed right back to the injured list after making just two starts.
