Luis Severino Likely Headed To The Injured List
2 years agoNew York Yankees right-hander Luis Severino (shoulder) is "likely" to go on the injured list, according to Yankees manager Aaron Boone. However, when giving this update to the press, Boone also stated that the team is still assessing the MRI results on Severino's shoulder. The 28-year-old was removed from his start on Wednesday with what has been diagnosed as right shoulder tightness. He's in the midst of a fantastic revival season that's seen him go 5-3 with a 3.45 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP over 16 starts. The timing of the upcoming All-Star break is certainly ideal for Severino. We'll see if the break can be utilized in a way that he barely misses any season action even if he does land on the injured list.
