Eury Perez Continues To Dominate In Double-A
2 years agoMiami Marlins pitching prospect Eury Perez continued his dominant ways on Thursday for Double-A Pensacola. On a day that he was named to the Futures Game, the 19-year-old showed up in style and tossed six innings with two hits, one run, zero walks and 10 strikeouts. It was just another day at the office for one of the games top pitching prospects. The right-hander earned a no-decision in the contest, but is 3-1 with a 3.05 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 62 innings (13 starts) this season. The Marlins have one of the better rotations in the league and along with Perez, Max Meyer remains one of the top pitching prospects and is in Triple-A at the moment. Many scouts have taken the stance that Perez has the highest ceiling of all Marlin pitchers, both in the minors and majors and that is saying a lot for a team that rosters Pablo Lopez and Sandy Alcantara at the big-league level. The Marlins have no reason to rush Perez throughout his development, but dynasty league managers should seriously consider Perez with his potential to make an impact in 2023.
